Job description

Overview

Senior Backend Java Developer, Hybrid / Mountain View, CA (onsite Monday through Friday). This is a long-term contract opportunity with a global financial technology leader. Contract duration : 6-12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Lead backend development efforts and contribute as a seasoned expert in software delivery lifecycle, security compliance, and Agile methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain complex backend services using Java and related technologies (Spring Boot, Kafka, Azure, OCI, PCF / Cloud Foundry, CDP).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including internal and external partners at senior levels, to influence and deliver solutions.

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle, Security Compliance, and Agile methodology; recognized as a leading expert in software development.
  • Expert experience with backend languages and platforms (Java, Azure, SQL, OCI, PCF, Spring Boot, Kafka).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead others in creating innovative solutions.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and working with senior-level stakeholders.
