Job Summary

Responsible for tooling management, preventive maintenance, and equipment support across SMT, wave solder, and selective solder processes. Performs semi-routine equipment set-up, operation, adjustment, and repair with minimal supervision. Ensures availability of spare parts, coordinates activities with internal customers and suppliers, and supports process optimization to maintain high levels of efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all tooling management and preventive maintenance (PM) activities, including scheduling, execution, and documentation.
  • Performs equipment set-up, operation, adjustment, maintenance, and repair for products of varying complexity.
  • Coordinates with other team members to set up machines according to set-up sheets and production schedules.
  • Monitors machine rejects, sorts parts, and ensures corrective actions are performed daily.
  • Maintains and administers spare parts inventory, ensuring proper availability, usage tracking, and cost control.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting for wave solder and selective solder processes, ensuring process stability and compliance with company standards.
  • Operates mechanical tools and equipment to perform maintenance, calibration, and corrective repair activities.
  • Coordinates activities with internal customers and external suppliers to resolve issues, manage repairs, and support continuous improvement.
  • Performs quality auditing, testing, and basic machine troubleshooting functions.
  • Ensures assigned work areas are clean, safe, and organized.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications / Knowledge Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required job-related certifications and training.
  • Strong knowledge of SMT, wave solder, and selective solder processes.
  • Ability to operate mechanical tools for maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and spare parts management.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Schedule flexibility is required to support business needs; this may include continental schedules (4-3) and shift rotations.
