A Solar Electrician specializes in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires electrical expertise and a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance with codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, wiring, and other electrical components for residential and commercial properties.
• Connect solar panels and inverters to the building’s electrical system, ensuring all work meets state and local codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations.
• Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and system grounding for solar projects.
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot solar installations for safety and performance, diagnosing and repairing faults as needed.
• Upgrade or replace existing solar equipment to improve system efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
• Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on solar installation best practices.
• Communicate with customers regarding system use, maintenance, and safety.
