Remote Testing

Remote testing is now available. To utilize Remote Testing, you must have access to both of the following :

• Mobile smartphone or tablet. The GoToMeeting app will be used as the video / audio app for the Test Proctor to monitor and communicate with candidates during the exam.
• Desktop or Laptop PC running Windows 10 or later or MacOS 10.13 or later. The Safe Exam Browser will be downloaded to this device in order for candidates to take the exam.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for employment as a Police Officer with the Little Rock Police Department, applicants must meet the criteria established by the State of Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement, the State of Arkansas Civil Service Statutes, and the Little Rock Civil Service Rules and Regulations (list is not all inclusive). Candidates will receive a confirmation email once their application has been submitted successfully. Human Resources will submit all candidates to LRPD personnel for a preliminary background check. If any of the following are found during the preliminary background, the candidate will be automatically disqualified :

Applicants who have successfully completed the online application, supplemental questions, and the preliminary background check will receive additional information about scheduling for the written / online exam and physical endurance and ability testing.
