Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Dental Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited school or training program, including dental radiology required. Successful completion of the Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate (EFDA) within 9 months from the date of hire. 2 years' experience in a dental setting preferred. Must have the ability to effectively use computer software and an electronic health record system. Current / valid Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate (EFDA) within 9 months from date of hire required. Current / valid BLS certification within 30 days of the date of hire. Ability to stay positive in stressful situations. Ability to deal professionally with unhappy, fearful patients. Able to work flexible hours and sites as needed. Must have a valid Florida Driver's license.

Job Summary :
Responsible for dental assisting duties listed in Florida Statutes 466 and Administrative Rules 64B-5, screening and preparing patients for treatment; assisting the dentist in treating patients; educating patients; processing instruments; taking and developing radiographs.
This location has an additional location incentive of $500 / month.
