POSITION PURPOSE
- The Applications Lead is responsible for leading a team in providing timely and accurate expertise in the selection, application, customization, and operation of BAC products to sales representatives, BAC plants, and direct customers to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations. This position will primarily work within the HVAC & Manufacturing market segment. The Applications Lead is also responsible for providing accurate and profitable product customization quotes to BAC Representatives to enhance their ability to sell BAC products.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead and mentor a team of Applications Engineers to provide technical applications support, product positioning and specification guidance, sales coaching and support, and customized quotes to BAC Representatives worldwide through oral and written communication in a timely and accurate fashionDevelop tools and documentation to improve the Product Applications process – work with Engineering and Customer Service to improve order flow and processing of product customizationsAccountable for metrics of team turnaround times, quantity, and loading of inquiries into the team, and making resource adjustments as necessary, to ensure satisfactory quality and timeliness of responsesResponsible for providing BAC Representatives with equipment selections, competitive product strategy, systems knowledge, and value analyzer value quantificationInteract with all departments at BAC (Marketing, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, Warranty Services, Sales, Credit) to support efficient, fast, and accurate execution of quotation inquiriesPartner with the applicable Business Development Manager / Regional Sales Manager to strengthen product and applications expertiseCreate highly-professional written proposals and deliver technical sales presentations in support of selling BAC equipment and solutions.Interpret and understand product performance data, codes and standards, local guidelines, and competitive information impacting their market segment, and communicating specific product needs to Product MarketingSupport defined key and strategic accounts as first point of contact for technical support, and provide project management for key projects / accounts to deliver optimized BAC solutionsLead development of case studies, white papers, and project / applications briefs to support BAC market / product strategiesSupport involvement in industry organizations to improve BAC market positionNATURE AND SCOPE
The Applications HVAC & Manufacturing Lead is responsible for providing timely and accurate expertise in the selection, application, customization, and operation of BAC products to sales representatives, BAC plants, and direct customers to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations. The Applications Lead is also responsible for providing accurate and profitable product customization quotes to BAC Representatives to enhance their ability to sell BAC products. This position will have interaction with all levels of Corporate Headquarters and the North American manufacturing plants. This position does have immediate direct reports.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Bachelor of Science Degree in EngineeringStrong mechanical and technical aptitude in order to develop an in-depth knowledge of BAC’s extensive product offering3+ years of experience in applications or inside sales in the HVAC and / or Manufacturing market segmentSkilled in technical and payback analysis, and evaluation of custom selection software programsRequires excellent written communication and phone skills, flexibility in handling a wide range of tasks, attention to detail, and effective interpersonal and presentation skillsProficient in the use of office software programs including Office 365 (Sharepoint, OneNote, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Strong team player orientation required with focus on customer solutions in a dynamic environment (internal and external), “can-do” positive attitude, professional demeanor, and sense of urgencyAbility to resolve complex problems accurately and in a timely mannerAbility to lead teams and manage tasks and projects from inception to completionWORKING CONDITIONS :

BAC Hiring Compensation Range $92,300-$158,300
