This Pharmacy Tech opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule.This dynamic individual will assists the Pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Assists the Pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel.
• Demonstrates ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filing various prescriptions ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations.
• Prepares intravenous solutions and admixtures.
• Assists in filling prescriptions.
