Job description

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in general diagnostic and special procedures, cardiac catheterization; experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus. The Radiological Technologist will assist the clinical team with vascular access procedures, maintain a sterile field, and provide support during pre- and post-procedures. This is a challenging, fast-paced job with a Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights or weekend shifts. Monday-Friday, 7 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm, scrub-in for procedures, clean and sterilize tools and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies.
  • Maintain radiology safety-monitoring procedures and may serve as the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for the center or Safety Officer.
  • Assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and aid in transporting patients within the center.
  • Participate in community education activities regarding access center.

Qualifications

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State license and / or fluoroscopic permit to practice radiologic technology if required by state law.
  • Associates degree in science or successful completion of a formal educational program accepted by ARRT.
  • 1 year experience in general diagnostic, special procedures, or cardiac catheterization.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Basic computer skills.

  • Experience in IR and Cath Lab.
