Director of Purchasing

Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a manufacturing company find a Director of Purchasing in the Alliance area.

This role will lead procurement strategy, vendor management, and contract negotiations to ensure the company secures high-quality products at competitive prices. This role drives operational excellence, cost savings, and alignment of purchasing processes with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & develop purchasing team

Provide leadership, training, and organizational planning.

Build strong vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and onboard new suppliers.

Negotiate and manage long-term agreements, ensuring compliance and value optimization.

Ensure purchasing supports production schedules and organizational objectives.

Optimize use of MRP systems, forecasting models, and pricing matrices.

Oversee freight sourcing, shipping efficiency, and vendor contributions to company events.

Partner with internal teams and communicate purchasing updates across the organization.
