Position Summary

Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Internal Service : Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels, ensures training systems are implemented, identifies internal candidates for management positions, and ensures adherence to policies and labor laws. Supports execution of the Service Profit Chain and maintains an employee-friendly, safe, and respectful restaurant environment.
• External Service : Manages daily operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensures proper training, adheres to food safety requirements, and maintains brand image through cleanliness and service quality. Responds to guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Sales & Profits : Analyzes operational and financial performance, uses data to drive action plans, focuses on increasing sales and profitability, and monitors costs against budgets and goals.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

Internal Promote : Minimum of 1+ years experience as an Associate Manager and / or 2 years experience as a First Assistant Manager; must be 100% certified in all workstations.

External Recruit : Minimum of 3 years experience managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Must be at least 18 years old; must complete Restaurant Manager training classes; ServSafe certified; ability to speak / read / write English; excellent interpersonal skills; basic math; strong analytical and organizational skills; self-starter; proficient PC skills; valid driver's license and ability to travel to other locations as required; demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand / walk 85-95% of shift; lift / carry 10-65 lbs; operate restaurant equipment; operate a computer keyboard.
