Join Our Team as a Radiologic Technologist!
Are you ready to make a difference in patient care? As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in performing radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries. Under the guidance of our Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, your expertise will help produce high-quality images, ensuring optimal patient care through efficient and safe processes.
What You'll Do :
- Perform Specialized Procedures : Conduct both routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures with precision.
- Patient Interaction : Use your tact and courtesy to explain procedures to patients, easing their anxieties and gaining their cooperation.
- Patient Preparation : Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Equipment Operation : Adjust and operate radiographic equipment to capture images with the right detail and accuracy.
- Mobile Imaging : Operate mobile radiologic equipment in various settings, including operating rooms and emergency rooms.
- Assist Radiologists : Support radiologists and qualified physicians during fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
- Image Processing : Prepare and process images for review, ensuring quality control and proper identification.
- Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
- Training : Help orient new hires and train students, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
- Flexibility : Step in as needed in the absence of the Supervising Radiology Technologist.
- Additional Duties : Take on other related responsibilities as necessary.
What We’re Looking For : Basic Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of two years in a specialty (Mammography) or one year with ARRT Certification in that specialty.Education : High School Diploma or GED required.Licenses & Certifications :Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California)Basic Life Support CertificationAdditional Requirements :
ACLS certification when required for the position.Ability to perform general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties across all age groups.Strong communication skills to effectively present information to diverse audiences.Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.Compliance with position specifications outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.Why Join Us?
