Job descriptionManage approximately 70 percent oncology and 30 percent benign hematology consults Provide care for patients with solid and liquid malignancies and benign hematologic conditions Perform comprehensive consultative assessments and formulate management plans Participate in call rotation, including one full week every 4th or 5th week, with hospital visits for new consults on weekdays and rounding on weekends Deliver outpatient ambulatory clinic coverage, ensuring high-quality patient care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Accurately document all patient encounters Indiana license required Board certifications in Hematology and Medical Oncology required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Indiana beginning Dec 1, 2025. This role offers a Monday to Friday outpatient clinic schedule with flexible hours between 8 : 00 AM and 5 : 30 PM, plus periodic call rotation every 4th or 5th week. The position focuses on consultative care across both solid and liquid malignancies as well as benign hematology cases.
