Job descriptionBS in Computer Science or equivalent. 5 years of experience working within an IT department. Organized and professional demeanor. Ability to juggle multiple tasks that often have competing agendas and timelines. Ability to follow supervisor's instructions. Customer service oriented aptitude and solid communication skills (written and verbal).
Responsibilities
- Ability to develop, maintain, and administer Windows Server 2008 systems, including systems in a VMware environment.
- Must have heavy network hands-on technical experience (LAN / WAN).
- Experience with Cisco switches / routers.
- Experience with Cisco Unified Wireless deployments.
- Experience with Site-to-Site VPNs.
- Knowledge of structured cable system design and implementations.
- Knowledge of fiber systems.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of IT networking systems including the ability to install, maintain, and program network switch devices, routers, firewalls.
- Be able to evaluate and diagnose network LAN / WAN systems.
- Provide 24 / 7 emergency response for all network infrastructure systems, including on-call duty on a frequent basis.
- Ability to manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring issues are handled in an effective manner that best utilizes the resources of the department.
