Job Description :

We are a leading, globally recognized fine jewelry house based in New York City, seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our production and stone sourcing team. This mid-level role will report directly to the Vice President of Stones & Acquisitions, requiring a polished presence, discretion, and deep familiarity with fine jewelry, diamonds, and gemstones. You will manage the sourcing and production process, ensuring precision and excellence in every stage from gemstone selection to final delivery.

Please note : This is an in-person position based in our New York City office. You must currently reside in the New York area.

Responsibilities :

  • Source diamonds and colored gemstones for production, repairs, and special projects.
  • Select stones from in-house inventory to match specific design requirements.
  • Sort, weigh, count, and organize stones with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Manage the process between design, sourcing, and factories for new and existing pieces.
  • Accurately update inventory systems and maintain detailed project status reports.
  • Manage stone inventory processes, organization, and product tracking – ensure the timely and accurate input of all new stones through the appropriate systems.
  • Oversee the production process from concept to completion, liaising between design, sourcing, and factories.
  • Create and manage production timelines to meet deadlines, ensuring sourcing and production priorities are met with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee diverse inventory from clients, vendors, and gemological laboratories, ensuring proper tracking and handling.
  • Manage all shipments of incoming and outgoing products.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion in all communications and interactions.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • GIA Graduate Gemologist or diamond training a plus.
  • 3–5 years of prior experience in the jewelry industry required, particularly with diamonds and gemstones.
  • Must have knowledge in jewelry production with understanding the process, rhetoric, and craft of creating jewelry.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills; ability to remain poised under pressure.
  • A refined and polished demeanor suitable for representing our executive office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory systems.
