Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least one year of CT experience, ARRT (R)(CT), BLS, and a Maine license for a position in a Level II Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital imaging department within a Level II Trauma and Certified Stroke CenterCare areas include Emergency Department, Outpatient, and Inpatient settingsPatient population is primarily adults and geriatrics, with some pediatric and neonatal casesAverage daily caseload is 25-30 CT scansEquipment includes Siemens Edge, Force, and Definition CT scanners, Medrad Injectors, and Enterprise Imaging AGFA PACSUse Cerner as the EMRVariable shifts totaling 36 hours per week, with weekends scheduled per department rotationNo call requiredNo floating; fixed CT locationProcedures include outpatient oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, trauma, and biopsies (will train if no prior experience)Multiple CT technologists scheduled per shift, supported by a lead tech and on-site radiologistInternal transport is available for supportOrientation period is 1-1.5 weeks based on experience and comfort levelScrub attire can be any solid color if professional; scrubs provided if neededParticipation in holiday rotations requiredFree parking providedFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyMedical exemptions for flu vaccine are reviewed by the client and must allow two weeks for approvalRequirements
Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience required, more preferredCurrent ARRT (R) and (CT) certification requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredMaine state license or compact license required for considerationCTA study experience and general study proficiency requiredIV start skills preferredBiopsy experience and Siemens equipment experience preferredCerner EMR experience preferredFlu vaccination required for start date 9 / 30 / 2024 or laterCandidates must live at least 100 miles south or southwest of the facility to be eligible for considerationCandidates must not have previously held a permanent position at any Northern Light Health HospitalLicense required if applicableBenefits
