ARIZONA SPECIALTY HOSPITAL IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A FULL TIME MATERIALS MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR TO JOIN THE TEAM!
THIS IS A DAY SHIFT POSITION WITH NO NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS OR WEEKENDS REQUIRED!
JOB SUMMARY :
Under supervision of the Materials Manager, the Materials Coordinator works in accordance with standardized procedures of the Materials Management Department.
Required Skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Responsible for input of encounters and other source implant documents received from the Hospital’s OR Department in a compliant and timely manner into the Patient Accounting System.
- Promotes, participates in and maintains a Culture of Safety.
- Utilizes AIDET communication (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank you).
- Works and follows up with Implant vendors to ensure all documentation is received for billing purposes
- Receiving and processing requisitions for the departments in the hospital.
- Receiving and inspecting of shipments, verifying contents for accuracy against purchase order and for possible damage. Processing packing slips with purchase orders daily and input data into computer.
- Maintaining appropriate levels of inventory for specified areas of the hospital.
- Ordering supplies from vendors pertaining to all stock and non-stock items. Monitor / process returns from various departments to vendors.
- Maintaining record of requisitions, purchase orders, and reconciles any discrepancies. Processing packing slips with purchase orders daily and input data into system. Sending purchase orders to billing / business office for all chargeable items used.
- Assist with inventory control and cost containment
- Duties shall include overseeing daily productivity and operation
- Completes other job duties as assigned

Required Experience
High school graduate or equivalentHospital setting preferredProficient skills in Microsoft Office products including ExcelExperience using Meditech or similar EMRAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Ability to understand the need for confidentiality in the work assigned to you.Effective written and verbal communication skills (in English)Knowledge of department supply items, medical terminology preferredExperience using materials management related softwareAbility to prepare reports and keep recordsSkills to maintain effective communication with patients, physicians and hospital staffMust possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Qualifications :
