Responsibilities
Assists Physical Therapists in various aspects of inpatient / outpatient department care and patient treatment.
1. Sets up patients using modalities and notifies Physical Therapists of patient's readiness for skilled application of Physical Therapy. 2. Assists Physical Therapist on nursing unit with ambulation of patient. 3. Assists with attendance, patient transport, and scheduling when necessary. 4. Inventories department stock and make recommendations for replacing department items needed. 5. Is responsible for care and maintenance of equipment and supplies and reports defective equipment to the Director or Assistant. 6. Must attend all required hospital in service programs. 7. Is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of department and cleaning booths and whirlpools after patient use. 8. Sets up daily linen and shelf stock and reports needs or deficiencies to Director.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written) along with ability to multi-task.
Understanding of body mechanics.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) as well as electronic medical systems.
Knowledge of supply chain processes preferred.
