About The Position

Job Title : Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Profession : Therapy / Rehabilitation

Shift : Day 5x8

Hours per Shift : 09 : 00 - 17 : 30

Experience : Minimum 1 year experience required, first-timers accepted.

License : Active state license required.

Certifications : BLS required.

Must-Have :

• Experience with cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neurology, and orthopedics.
• Experience in acute care and rehabilitation hospital settings.
• Proficiency in assessment skills including adaptive devices and pain assessment.
• Knowledge of respiratory conditions such as COPD and CHF.
• Ability to document assessments, plans of care, and goals.
• Experience with various therapeutic equipment and techniques.
• Competence in handling orthopedic and neurologic cases.
• Familiarity with billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurances.
• Age-specific competencies for adolescents through older adults.

Description :

Position for a Physical Therapist in Inpatient Rehabilitation.

This role involves working primarily daytime shifts.

The schedule is mostly Monday through Friday with every third weekend required.

The therapist will float within various units as needed.

Required specialties include cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neurology, and orthopedics.

Experience with adaptive devices, pain assessment, and mobility training is essential.

Candidates should have competent skills in assessing conditions across different patient populations.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency in documentation and care planning.

Familiarity with specific conditions such as stroke, COPD, and orthopedic injuries is necessary.

Candidates must showcase excellent time management and communication skills.

Experience with charting systems is preferred.

Teaching hospital or Level II trauma experience is beneficial.

Preferred qualifications include experience working with diverse patient demographics.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to adhere to facility policies and procedures.
