Overview

We areseeking a Locums Orthopedic Surgery Physician to provide 24-hour coverage at ahospital in Tacoma, WA. This long-term assignment offers the opportunity towork in a collaborative environment with a variety of orthopedic cases andpatient populations.

AssignmentDetails

Shift Type : 24-hour shifts
Duration : 6 – 9 months
EMR System : Epic
Patient Volume : Varies, 0 – 7admissions / patients per day
Case Mix : Wide range oforthopedic procedures and trauma cases

Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour orthopedicsurgery coverage, including emergent and routine cases

Perform surgical interventionsfor various orthopedic conditions and trauma

Evaluate, diagnose, and treatpatients presenting with orthopedic injuries or conditions

Coordinate care with ERphysicians, hospitalists, and other specialists

Manage pre- and post-operativepatient care

Document patient encountersaccurately and efficiently in Epic EMR

Participate in admissions,discharges, and consultations as needed

Requirements

Board Certified OrthopedicSurgeon

Active Washington medical license or IMLC with LOQ – required

BLS Certification

DEA license

Prior experience managing avariety of orthopedic trauma and general cases preferred
