Full-time opening for an 8th-12th grade History teacher and advisor.

Teachers in the History program work in collaboration to design, implement, and revise curriculum. The ability to design and teach Upper School history seminar courses, experience teaching AP classes is preferred.

Ideal candidates for this position will demonstrate:

• An ability to create student-centered curriculum, informed by current pedagogical and historical trends that support independent learning and history skill development.
• A deep commitment to working in collaboration with grade-level partners, department members and chair, and other relevant faculty members.
• A desire to imagine, create, and implement courses that spark student interest in the discipline.
• An investment in whole child development.

*Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to lead the school’s Model UN program (stipend provided). No Model UN experience is required, just a willingness to guide and support this important student-led program.
