Job Description :

The First Shift Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Associate is responsible for preparing, palletizing, scheduling production shipments and receiving incoming shipments.

Duties and responsibilities :

Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy, use computer programs to produce required package labels and shipping documentation.

Prepare skids for freight pickup, including banding, shrink wrapping, and pallet markings.

Receive and process incoming warehouse shipments.

Work with internal / external customers to answer shipping questions.

Place orders on pallets and achieve proper height and weight.

Print FedEx / UPS labels as well as work with bill of lading for pallet shipments.

Keep the shipping department clean and organized and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Follow directions and procedures while working in a fast paced, deadline oriented, physically demanding environment.

Skills / Qualifications :

Must have great attention to detail. Ability to work well with a team as well as work alone. Must have great communication skills. Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Education / Experience :

High school diploma or GED and 1 year experience in a warehouse or shipping facility.
