Job Title : Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Schedule : 20-32 hours per week.

Reports To : Executive Director

Location : Stillwater, MN. There are two residential facilities that will require in-person services.

A Mission for Michael : Our flagship program offers intensive, highly personalized residential mental health treatment in small, home-like environments. With a 6-8 client ratio per home, we provide 24 / 7 support from a multidisciplinary clinical team, incorporating traditional therapy, experiential modalities (art, music, equine), and a deep focus on each client’s lived experience.

Mission Connection : A flexible, hybrid program designed to meet clients where they are—both literally and clinically. This outpatient service combines in-person and telehealth care for adults with primary mental health diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Mission Connection ensures consistent, personalized support that fits into the client’s real life.

Mission Prep : A dedicated adolescent program that works with teens and their families to create sustainable change. Focused on treating primary mental health challenges, Mission Prep offers a blend of proven therapies and innovative interventions in a supportive, home-like setting. Family involvement is central to the treatment process, helping lay the foundation for long-term success and resilience.

Position Overview

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team for our A Mission for Michael residential adult program. This role is essential in providing high-quality psychiatric care to adults in our residential treatment program. The Nurse Practitioner will assess, diagnose, and treat clients in collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care, excellent interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to patient-centered treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments in person

Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and clinical leadership to deliver effective treatment

Develop and manage individualized psychiatric treatment plans

Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting as needed

Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results

Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records

Coordinate care with nursing, clinical, administrative, and billing teams

Support pre-assessment and approval processes for incoming clients

Participate in quality assurance, program development, and training

Perform other medical and psychiatric duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required :

Must be 21 years of age or older

Active and current Nurse Practitioner License or Physician License in the State of Minnesota

We will consider MD's too!

Master’s Degree in the field

Ability to pass federal and state background checks, including NETStudy2.0 and other screenings required by the company

Preferred :

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
