Position Summary :

The Director of Supply Chain Logistics, Operations Excellence is a change leader on the Operations Excellence Team. This role will work cross functionally with Manufacturing, Shipping, Transportation, and Sales leaders to develop, deploy, and continuously improve the Operations Excellence Playbook. As a member of the Operations Excellence team this person will help develop and implement Safety, Service, and Cost initiatives to build a resilient and agile Manufacturing and Supply Chain organization.

This role will serve as an important part of the Operations Excellence Team and be the visionary for all aspects of Operations Excellence, with a particular focus on shipping and supply chain.

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Strategic support of bakeries and distribution centers with KPIs such as product accountability, TRIR, order fill, order accuracy, OEE, inventory accuracy, cost per unit, on time seal, and on time delivery.
• Safety : pursuit of zero injuries through safety leadership, effective and sustainable implementation of the Bimbo safety management system resulting in a highly engaged safety culture.
• Food safety and quality including product control (FIFO) and traceability.
• Operational effectiveness : reliable, resilient, and low-cost operation by implementing management systems and a continuous improvement culture.
• Creation of internal metrics and reports to understand performance and provide early insight into issues / opportunities.
• Financial controls : work with Finance to implement robust inventory and expense control.
• Automation / systems enhancements : identification of functional improvements to make technology and systems more efficient and effective.
• Partner cross functionally with peers in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Engineering, Human Relations, Labor Relations, Finance, Planning, Transportation, and other departments to optimize the entire value chain.
• Execute the Operations Excellence Playbook to drive safety, service, and cost initiatives within assigned area.
• Guide a diverse team focused on fully empowering Associates to deliver operational excellence.
• Assure alignment with Operations Excellence and DSD excellence at all levels within Distribution organization for sales area.
• 75% travel.
