Assignment Type : 3+ Months (Possible Extension)

Shift : 10-Hour Days| 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM | 36 Hours / Week

Travel Pay : $2200 - $2300 / week (Blended)

Local : $50 / hr. on W2

Summary :

The Surgical Technologist plays a key role in supporting surgical operations by maintaining sterile fields, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons during operative procedures. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and reporting directly to Surgical Services management, this position ensures all surgical standards, safety protocols, and sterilization criteria are met to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and maintain the operating room and surgical instruments according to sterilization standards.
• Maintain sterile fields and uphold surgical asepsis throughout all procedures.
• Recognize and implement sharps and fire safety protocols.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating surgical needs.
• Support sterile processing functions as needed.
• Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for subsequent cases.
• Identify and respond appropriately to emergency situations during surgical procedures.
• Uphold compliance with surgical safety initiatives and system-wide protocols.
