What You’ll Do
- Support Exams & Procedures : Assist veterinarians during physical exams, dental cleanings, and surgeries by prepping patients and monitoring throughout.
- Patient Care : Safely restrain pets, monitor vital signs, collect samples, and ensure comfort pre- and post-treatment.
- Clinical Procedures : Administer medications and vaccines, place IV catheters, draw blood, run diagnostics (fecals, radiographs, labwork), and assist in surgical prep and recovery.
- Client Communication : Educate clients on at-home care, medications, nutrition, and wellness. Be a reassuring, informed voice throughout the pet's care.
- Records & Organization : Maintain accurate medical records, manage inventory, keep exam rooms and surgical suites clean and organized.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and front desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care.
✅ What We’re Looking For
Experience : 1+ years as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician preferred. Veterinary Technician degree or assistant program background is a plus.Skills : Strong knowledge of animal restraint, veterinary terminology, and clinical procedures. Experience with exotics is a bonus.Communication : Clear, kind, and confident communicator—both with clients and teammates.Compassion : A true animal lover with a commitment to high-quality patient care.Team Player : Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and dependable in a busy, collaborative setting.Detail-Oriented : Accurate, thorough, and able to follow instructions precisely.Adaptable : Flexible and ready to grow with a progressive general practice.What We Offer
