Civil Engineering Manager

Now hiring! We are seeking a Civil Engineering Manager for a highly innovative surveying and engineering company with over 60 years of industry experience serving clients throughout the US and Caribbean. This excellent opportunity can sit in Tampa, Orlando or Lakeland

As the Civil Engineering Manager, you will primarily support our Civil Department with land development and civil engineering projects for electrical substations and transmission line right-of-way. This role will also play a pivotal part in developing and growing our Civil Department in other regional offices.

What You Will Be Doing :

• Manage all aspects of civil design, including permitting support, site layout, grading design, retaining wall design, stormwater analysis, containment structure design, survey coordination, and civil construction support
• Development of civil construction specifications, cost estimates, engineering proposals, and project schedules
• Provide support for transmission line right-of-way access improvement design including culvert sizing, stormwater drainage analysis, stabilization specification, construction support, and inspection
• Assist with analyzing the design for various civil elements related to high-voltage power transmission and substation design
• Partner with clients, vendors, permitting agencies, and various other team members and stakeholders to see projects through to completion
• Act as our "brand ambassador", passionately representing our company both internally and externally
• Mentor Civil team members on the design and analysis of civil engineering concepts and software
• Manage Civil department resources and workload though project assignments, project updates, and (at a minimum) biweekly department meeting
