About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a Vice President of Logistics to lead and optimize our logistics operations, overseeing a high-performing distribution and transportation network across seven facilities in Northern California . This executive role is critical to ensuring we consistently deliver freshness, service reliability, and operational excellence as we continue to expand in a dynamic, global market.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, forward-thinking leader with extensive experience in multi-site distribution, automation, and transportation management , and a passion for driving innovation across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Network Optimization
Lead end-to-end operations across seven distribution centers to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
Develop and execute a long-term distribution and automation strategy aligned with company growth and sustainability goals.
Partner with production, commercial, and supply chain teams to maintain a tightly integrated logistics model.
Represent the company with integrity and professionalism in all business interactions.
Automation & Technology
Identify, evaluate, and deploy automation technologies (e.g., robotics, conveyor systems, WMS optimization).
Partner with IS and third-party providers to scale automation projects that increase throughput and reduce labor dependency.
Operational Excellence
Standardize operations across the network and drive performance through KPIs for safety, quality, labor, and inventory accuracy.
Build and sustain a high-performance, safety-first, and continuous improvement culture.
Ensure consistent service levels across all facilities with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
Transportation & Vendor Management
Manage and optimize transportation operations to meet delivery timelines and minimize costs.
Evaluate carrier performance, negotiate contracts, and oversee 3PL partnerships.
Develop and manage budgets for transportation, warehousing, and capital investments.
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of regional and functional leaders.
Foster workforce engagement, accountability, and professional growth across all distribution levels.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale distribution or supply chain operations (preferably perishable or consumer goods).
Proven success managing multi-site distribution networks, including company-owned, grower-owned, and 3PL facilities.
Hands-on experience implementing automation technologies such as AS / RS, robotic picking, and conveyor systems.
Strong understanding of WMS platforms (Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Deep knowledge of cold chain logistics and HAACP / quality assurance practices.
Exceptional leadership, change management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred.
Experience managing global logistics operations and working across cultures and time zones.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
California driver’s license and valid passport required.
