Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging.
• Ensure a supportive and safe environment for patients during examinations, taking the time to explain each procedure with empathy.
• Work in partnership with radiologists and referring providers to capture and deliver high-quality diagnostic images.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring operational performance and addressing any issues promptly.
• Document procedures thoroughly and manage patient records accurately within our electronic medical system.
• Continuously enhance your knowledge of the latest ultrasound imaging techniques and innovative practices.

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
• Preferably, completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent credential.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is an asset.
