Overview
Title : Environmental Coordinator
Reports To : General Manager
Department : Administration
Summary of Position : Responsible for assisting Company management in the specific tasks related to the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) including, but not limited to : program, procedure, and initiative development and implementation; gathering monitoring and measurement tracking data; and participating in compliance audits.
Responsibilities
- Understand requirements of environmental contract commitments and work closely with Director of EHS and General Manager to ensure compliance
- Consistently communicate with General Manager and EHS Director on project status of environmental projects and audits
- Assist management with internal and external audits as required
- Work closely with administrative team and other departments to train and ensure understanding of environmental and safety commitments
- Assist in designing, preparing, implementing and maintaining environmental projects
- Ensure that documents and records are maintained per Company procedures
- Overview and coordinate environmental operations to ensure permit renewals and regulatory compliance
- Assist with program creation for reducing environmental damage and waste
- Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures
- Understand Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas

Position Requirements
Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Word and ExcelProficient knowledge of safe environmental practicesPossess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with othersPossess sound judgment, decision-making and strategy skillsAbility to multi-task and effectively prioritize job demandsAbility to work varying work hours as requested which may involve travelEducation and Experience
Education : Bachelor's degree in science or related field
Experience : Two (2) or more years in environmental protection and / or research
Resort / National Park Experience Preferred
