We are looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineering Manager based out of San Diego, CA.
What You'll Get to Do
The software engineering manager will lead a section of approximately 10-15 application software engineers working within the San Diego Engineering and Sciences (E&S) Software and Digital Technologies (SWDT) department. The successful candidate will lead direct report employees based on organizational goals, program activity, and company policies. Specific responsibilities include coordinating with programs for staffing, recruiting, training, preparing and delivering performance reviews to employees, evaluating / recommending employees for promotions, evaluating salaries and coordinating with Human Resources on potential adjustments, assisting employees in preparing performance goals, providing career guidance to employees and counseling employees on their performance as necessary. Program Execution and Engineering Excellence are our driving forces.
The qualified candidate shall also be a technical performer, working approximately 80% directly on programs involving communications systems within the Special Programs Access Network (SPAN) OU, representing our Engineering and Sciences organization.

Primary Level Salary Range : $129,900.00 - $194,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
