About The Position

Job Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Experience : Minimum of 1 year experience; first timers accepted

License : State RRT License required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS required

Must-Have : Trauma experience required; pulmonary function testing experience preferred

Description :

Minimum experience of 1 year is required.

First timers are accepted.

The patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics, focusing primarily on adults but requiring occasional work with pediatric intubated patients.

The facility is a level 2 trauma center and is interventional stroke certified.

It also has a level 3 NICU, which serves as the regional transport resource.

Responsibilities include managing non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy, and bedside pulmonary function tests.

The role also involves performing arterial lines, oxygen management, patient education, and conducting arterial blood gases and capillary blood gases while drawing from lines.

Trauma experience is required.

Pulmonary function testing (spirometry testing) is preferred.

Experience with specific unit systems is beneficial.

Employees may float within the facility and to a sister campus as needed.

Travelers are expected to work during major holidays if they fall within the assignment period.

Full compliance is required to start on time.

Candidates must be available to submit core items within a specified timeframe to ensure an on-time start.

Two supervisory references are preferred at the time of submission.

RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days.

No pre-approved time off is allowed during the assignment period.
