Medi-Weightloss Chesterfield is a physician-supervised weight management clinic dedicated to evidence-based care personalized treatment plans and long-term patient success. We are entering a strong growth phase and are seeking an experienced healthcare sales professional to build and manage our physician referral network.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Physician Liaison & Referral Development Specialist to cultivate and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers and drive consistent patient referrals to our clinic.
This is a part-time field-based performance-driven role ideal for someone who has experience calling on physician practices and thrives in a relationship-focused measurable environment.
Key Responsibilities
Physician Outreach & Relationship Management
- Identify and target key specialties including Primary Care OB-GYN Cardiology Endocrinology and Bariatrics.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with physicians nurse practitioners PAs practice managers and clinical teams.
- Educate providers on Medi-Weightloss clinical model program structure safety standards and patient outcomes.
Practice Engagement
Conduct regular in-person office visits within the St. Louis area.Coordinate and deliver lunch-and-learn sessions and brief educational presentations.Ensure practices have updated referral materials and understand the referral process.Retention & Follow-Up
Maintain consistent communication with referring offices to support ongoing engagement.Reinforce relationships with providers by sharing program updates and patient success outcomes (in accordance with privacy standards).Re-engage practices that show declining referral activity.Reporting & Territory Management
Document outreach activities and referral data using a simple CRM or tracking system.Provide weekly updates to clinic leadership on :Offices visited
Referral patternsNew referring providers onboardedCollaborate on adjusting outreach strategies based on performance data.Success Metrics (612 Months)
A successful candidate will :
Manage a panel of 2030 active practices .Develop a core group of 10 consistently referring providers .Help drive 40 new patient referrals per month from established relationships.Create stable predictable referral patterns that support sustained clinic growth.Qualifications
Required
3 years of pharmaceutical sales medical device sales or physician liaison experience.Demonstrated success calling on one or more of the following specialties :Primary Care OB-GYN Cardiology Endocrinology Bariatrics.
Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with clinical teams.Ability to discuss medical and clinical concepts with professionalism and clarity.Self-directed organized and able to manage a field-based schedule.Comfortable in a performance-centered role with measurable expectations.Preferred
Existing network of provider relationships in the Greater St. Louis area.Experience in weight management metabolic health or wellness-related services.Schedule & Work Environment
Part-time : approximately 1520 hours per week .Field-based : includes in-office visits practice meetings and lunch-and-learns.Flexible schedule during standard clinic and practice operating hours.Occasional early morning evening or community events as needed.Compensation
