Bilingual Medical Front Desk Receptionist
We're seeking a Bilingual (English / Spanish) Medical Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic. This part-time position works Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and rotating Saturday mornings. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring a smooth patient experience from scheduling and registration to payments and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Flow & Scheduling
- Greet patients warmly and ensure efficient check-in and registration.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, screen calls, and prioritize urgent medical needs.
- Make appointment reminder calls to patients the day before their visit.
Registration & Payments
Verify and update patient personal and financial information.Charge the correct fees, explain payment policies, and collect payments at the time of service.Communicate clearly about sliding fee discounts and required documentation.Customer Service & Clinic Support
Provide information and assistance regarding insurance billing and charges.Maintain patient account accuracy by scanning and updating records in the EMR system.Keep providers informed of patient arrivals and schedule changes to minimize wait times.Handle incoming mail and faxes for distribution to the correct departments.Administrative & Facility Duties
Complete daily opening and closing checklists.Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front desk and waiting area.Support clinic operations by assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.Requirements
Required :
High School Diploma or equivalent.Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing).Strong data entry accuracy and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.Preferred :
Experience in a healthcare or clinic setting.Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (USIS, ECW, Help2).Knowledge of medical billing and collections.What We're Looking For
