Medical Surgical Unit - Registered Nurse

Shift : 6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM

Experience :

• 18 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

Additional Details :

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Weekend REQ : Will work every other weekend.

Certs REQ : Chemo cert Preferred. OCN and ONS / ONCC preferred.

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed.

Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Special Requirements :

Required Chemotherapy Skills / Experience : Administration of chemotherapy, Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy, Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, Management / disposal cytotoxic spills, Monitor chemotherapy, Oral Administration of chemotherapy, Recognize / communicate abnormal lab values.

Required IV Therapy / Infusion Skills / Experience : Accessing Ports, Administration of coagulation factors, Antifungals, Antivirals, Blood / Blood product administration,

Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line / Implanted Line Care, PICC line care, Starting IVs.

Scrub Color : Any solid color.

RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating is 100% required of all travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital / s near by

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
