POSITION DESCRIPTION : The Clinical Nurse Manager / Educator (CNM / E) is a Professional Nurse who will assist the Department Director(s) in the 24-hour responsibility of the day-to-day coordination of and quality of clinical nursing care as well as non-clinical supporting departments for staff and patients both in the hospital and community. He / she manages human resources at the unit level in a cost-effective manner and assists in providing direction in changing workloads during crisis, emergent, and urgent situations. The CNM / E will work with the Department Director(s) in developing, implementing, and / or evaluating appropriate education programs within the hospital and assigned departments; these programs are based on identified needs, quality initiatives, patient population, educational requirements of the staff, and general community education opportunities. Monitor patient care for quality, implement evidence-based practices, and ensure adherence to nursing standards. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff. Review patient and staff data to measure the effectiveness of care and identify areas for improvement.
