Land Use Associate – Orange County
A leading law firm is seeking a highly qualified associate to join its expanding Land Use team in Orange County . This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative group of experienced attorneys representing developers, property owners, and investors. The role involves guiding projects through the increasingly complex regulatory, compliance, and approval process from planning through execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile :
- 4 to 7 years of legal experience with a comprehensive understanding of land use and natural resources matters.
- Demonstrated experience with :
- Land use due diligence
- Processing entitlements
- Environmental review under CEQA
- Additional experience that will make a candidate stand out includes :
- Land Use and / or CEQA litigation
- Familiarity with natural resources law, including wetlands and endangered species
- Experience with the California Coastal Commission, BCDC, the Subdivision Map Act, and / or the NHPA
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically about legal and policy issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex information to clients and regulatory agencies.
- A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to client service and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- A strong academic record and admission to the State Bar of California are required.
Compensation :
The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $250,000 to $315,000 per year.Actual salary will depend on various factors, including relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications.This is a great opportunity for candidates who are passionate about land use law and want to be a part of a dynamic and forward-thinking legal team.
