Overview
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer located at our Defense Systems Sector in Roy, UT. This role plays a key part in developing processes that enable high-quality production of advanced defense systems.

Responsibilities
- Develop processes by studying requirements; research, design, modify, and test production / deployment methods and equipment
- Collaborate with Design Engineering on design to ensure practical manufacturing and fabrication solutions
- Work with suppliers to develop manufacturing planning for successful preparation and execution of MRAs
- Research and evaluate commercially available tools and equipment to support deployment activities
- Investigate root cause of discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Troubleshoot existing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
- Develop and maintain detailed work and install instructions for assigned products / processes
- Educate / training operators on new and existing processes
- Establish and maintain a program project plan and schedule aligned with the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Provide on-site engineering support during field installations
- Provide advanced technological ideas and subject matter expertise (SME) to resolve technical questions and ensure compliance with the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Statement of Work (SOW) requirements
- Implement Lean practices to continually identify opportunities for improvement
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree from an accredited institutionMajor in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering TechnologyBe able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite)Preferred Qualifications
Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 / 4.0 or higherSalary
$58,800 – $87,200
