Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of defining and maintaining the DMU
• Work extensively in CATIA and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in utilizing its various utilities
• Collaborate with the design team with 3D digital mockups of products.
• Work with customers on Data Exchange Agreements (DEA) and approve updates.
• Ensure CAD model quality by checking for clashes, resolving issues, and maintaining accuracy.
• Participate in IPT (Integrated Product Team) and CCB (Change Control Board) meetings.
• Provide support, troubleshooting, and training on DMU processes.
• Work with IT and engineering teams to maintain and improve DMU tools and processes.
• Manage CAD conversions and data transfer between CAD systems and CATIA V5.
• Document and troubleshoot DMU / DPA issues, and collaborate with IT on improvements.
• Help create and model standard parts in 3D CATIA V5.
• Complete and submit DMU / DPA definitions, create standard hardware models, and support engineering changes
