Practice Highlights : -We are open Monday through Friday from 8 : 00am-6 : 00pm and Saturday from 8 : 00am-2 : 00pm. -We recommend our clients to schedule appointments, but will see walk-ins if the schedule permits. -We practice both traditional and holistic medicine. We offer bathing and boarding. Job Description : We are seeking a motivated and caring Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians in providing high-quality care to our furry patients. Responsibilities : - Assist with animal restraint and handling in a gentle and compassionate manner. - Prepare examination rooms and equipment for appointments and surgeries. - Clean and sanitize cages, kennels, and treatment areas. - Provide support during surgical procedures and treatments. - Assist with taking patient histories and recording medical information. - Administer medications and treatments under supervision. - Educate clients on pet care, medications, and preventive healthcare. - Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic. - Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies. - Communicate effectively and work as part as a team. - Experience with Cornerstone is a plus. Qualifications : - Passion for animals and their welfare. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team. - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. - Willingness to learn and take direction from veterinary professionals. - Previous experience in a veterinary setting is a plus but not required.
