Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of experience and an Oklahoma license to join an adult rehab services team.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an adult rehab services department within a clinical setting
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
  • Role involves following physician-directed therapeutic physical therapy treatments for adult patients
  • Patient caseload includes adult rehabilitation needs as directed by physician orders
  • Responsibilities include interpreting physician orders, developing and adjusting treatment plans, documenting progress, and planning patient discharge
  • May supervise or assist students during clinical rotations, depending on experience
  • Maintains and cleans equipment used in department
  • 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
  • Contract extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of recent physical therapy experience required
  • Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy required
  • Current Oklahoma Physical Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, therapy principles and ability to use and modify therapy equipment as needed
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain effective relationships with staff and guide patients in their care
  • Basic computer proficiency necessary
