Midwifery Care Associates, a small private practice in central NJ, is looking for an experienced CNM to join our group. We attend births at home and hospital. We have an amazing back up situation and have been supported by the hospital system for 35 years. Our ideal candidate is a CNM who is passionate about homebirth and shared decision making. As CNM’s we really feel like we are living the dream, following the midwifery model of care and providing continuity of care in our home to hospital transfers. Our call schedule is (non consecutive except for vacations ) 10 days first call, 10 days back up call and 10 days off per month. Salary to be negotiated.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care, including physical examinations and assessments.

Document medical / obstetrical histories and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Assist with family planning and educate clients on reproductive health.

Perform suturing and IV insertions as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Collaborate with back-up physicians

Utilize EHR systems for efficient documentation.

Qualifications

Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) certification

NRP and BLS Certification

Strong assessment skills

Proficient in midwifery documentation and terminology

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Experience with family planning and physical examinations

Comfortable with independent practice

Skills in suturing, IV insertion, and administering injections

Background in homebirth preferred
