Job description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Correctional Nurse Practitioner in London / Marysville, OH! The Position would be working for a great company and has career growth potential.

This would be full time / 40+ hours per week. - Must be available to work 1st shift Monday - Friday only

Pay Rate : $65-70 / hr.

Compensation

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

  • Responsibilities

    Description :

    Provides patient care as directed : administers medication (e.g., oral

    intramuscular & intravenous) & monitors patient medication compliance; performs

  • treatments; performs or assist with nurse’s sick call; assist with doctor’s sick call;
  • performs or assist with nursing management of chronic care clinics; responds to

  • emergencies providing emergency care & cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • performs subjective & objective assessment of patients; collects vital signs &

  • timely documents all findings; collects urine & / or other bodily fluid specimens;
  • prepares patients for release or transfer to other facilities (e.g., intrasystem or out

  • to court) by reviewing patient care, transfer summaries or release summaries;
  • ensures discharge medication orders are completed & timely forwarded to

    pharmacy services; participates in work-related training & institution training

    exercises.

    Provides assistance to other healthcare staff; investigates & documents problem

    areas or areas of concern; reviews shift report from preceding shift(s); assist

    physicians with medical procedures; assumes duties of other nurses during

    absences; counsels / provides education to patients regarding healthcare

  • maintenance & prevention of disease; participates in quality assurance activities;
  • provides training & work direction to new nurses, agency nurses, licensed

    practical nurses, & / or hospital aides; serves as a resource person for other

    healthcare & security staff regarding healthcare matters; provides orientation &

  • training for new healthcare personnel at the direction of the Nursing Supervisor;
  • serves as the lead clinical authority on site in the absence of the HCA, QIC,

    medical director & / or advanced level provider staff; participates in group

    programming; participates in health & wellness initiatives.

    Performs administrative duties as indicated; attends meetings; schedules

    multidisciplinary team meetings; assumes the duties of shift charge as assigned

  • by the HCA, making shift work assignments & adjustments as necessary;
  • performs or assist with inventory & ordering of medical supplies; assist ancillary

    staff as needed to ensure patient care needs are met; must conduct themselves

    professionally, & in a law-abiding manner, at all times & in accordance with the

    Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction

    Requirements

  • Must have clear and active State of Ohio NP Nursing License
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
