NEW Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) – Full-Time, Nights

Location :  Kankakee County, Illinois

Shift : Nights | 0.9 FTE (Full-Time)

Overview :

Seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join a dedicated sleep center team. Under the general supervision of the medical director, the RPSGT will perform comprehensive sleep disorder evaluations, including in-lab and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions. This role also includes patient education and oversight of sleep tech trainees.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and conduct sleep studies following AASM standards

Apply and calibrate sensors, monitor data quality, and score sleep / wake stages

Perform PAP titrations and implement therapeutic interventions

Educate patients on procedures and home testing protocols

Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols

Collaborate with staff and leadership on sleep center operations and quality assurance

Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited sleep technology program or equivalent experience

Current RPSGT or SDS certification required

CPR / BLS certification

Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
