Job Responsibilities

Essential functions of the positions include :

• Develop team members through coaching and mentoring.
• Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.
• Interact closely with production, engineering, and quality to effectively plan and execute kanban requirements to support plant requirements.
• Coordinate and implement effective material handling techniques to assure material availability while achieving defined kanban levels.
• Establish and maintain effective communications with all departments.
• Assure that materials pulled are in accordance with FIFO methods.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects as assigned.
• Assure that 5S activities are conducted daily and necessary communication is in place for the handling of special projects or situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

General factory environment with occasional expectations of the employee functional job description. Some of the physical demands of this position include sitting for prolonged periods of time, walking up and down staircases, occasional lifting, and occasional stooping and bending. Able to address and resolve ambiguity; prioritize, multi-task and work independently.

Equipment / Tools Used

Some of the equipment and tools used are sit down fork lift, tugger, carts, walkies, RF scanners.

Knowledge

Education

Work Experience

High experience working with mobile equipment, FIFO, PFEP, and other lean or continuous improvements concepts and practices are highly desired.
