Interpreter – Spanish / English

Local health organization is looking for a Spanish / English Interpreter. The Spanish / English Interpreter will be responsible for direct interpretation in all clinic program areas, translation of written materials, and coordination of other interpreting needs.

Hours : Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 8 : 30am to 5pm; Weds 8 : 30am to 8pm; rotating Saturdays 8am to 12pm

Pay : $16.75 / hour; $17.50 / hour if certified as a medical interpreter

Interpreter Job Responsibilities :

• Provide direct interpretation as needed in various areas of the clinic
• Coordinate additional interpreting services as needed
• Assist provider and patients with cross-cultural / cultural sensitivity awareness
• Translate written materials
• Assist in development and implementation of formal relationships with community organizations to coordinate services
• Participate in workshops and training meeting to further knowledge and skills
