Part-Time Patient Services Representative

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Part-Time Patient Services Representative to support the office in South Fayette.

Weekend and evening availability required to support the hours of operation.

Clinic Hours : 4 : 30p-9p Mon-Fri 9 : 30a-6p Sat, 9 : 30a-6p Sun.

Medical registration and Epic experience preferred.

• Patient Interaction : Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
• Scheduling : Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
• Support : Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
• Technology : Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
• Financial Advocacy : Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
• Compliance : Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
• Admin Tasks : Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills preferred.
• Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred.
