Technician – Gastroenterology Lab – Endoscopy Center

The GE Lab Technician provides support for physicians and RNs throughout endoscopy procedures by preparing, providing, and caring for instruments and equipment, obtaining specimens, and maintaining a sterile field where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of gastroenterology procedures and equipment.
• Performs all responsibilities / duties required as defined in the scope of service, to ensure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.
• Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure; pursues professional growth and development.
• Maintains supplies and inventory for the department.
• Assists in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
• May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and / or disasters.
