CNC Machinist
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate multi-axis mills and perform slicing, grinding, wire EDM, and clean / tumble operations independently. The ideal candidate will maintain extremely tight tolerances, conduct first-piece inspections, and utilize digital optical measuring tools for accurate measurements.
Responsibilities
Operate multi-axis mills and perform slicing, grinding, wire EDM, and clean / tumble operations.
Maintain tight tolerances (+ / - 2 microns) as per customer requirements.
Conduct first-piece inspection and prepare quality documentation.
Utilize inspection equipment and digital optical measuring tools.
Use hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and associated gauges.
Perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a clean workspace.
Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in machining operations, proficiency in multi-axis mills and lathes.
Ability to hold tight tolerances (+ / - 2 microns) and interpret customer drawings.
Experience with inspection equipment and digital optical measuring tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and occasional noise. Requires standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required for detailed work and operation of machinery. Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with safety and quality regulations is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
