About The Position
Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist

Experience : 1 year, first timers are welcome
License : State licensed
Certifications : BLS
Must-Have : Acute care experience, IPR experience, preferred MBS and FEE's training
Description :
We are currently seeking an independent and quick-learning Speech-Language Pathologist.
The position requires acute care experience in a hospital setting.
The selected candidate will float between units as needed.
Weekend coverage is required, with rotation among 2-3 Speech-Language Pathologists.
The expected patient ratio is 1 SLP to 6-8 treatments per day.
Candidates should have experience with dysphagia and various communication devices.
Familiarity with bedside swallow evaluations and conducting modified barium swallow studies is preferred.
Knowledge of patient and family education is necessary.
Additional skills in utilizing voice prosthesis and conducting nasoendoscopy may be required.
Candidates should have familiarity with various assessment tools such as the WAB and BAE.
The position involves providing evaluation and discharge planning.
Strong communication and collaboration skills within an interdisciplinary team are essential.
The role also includes documenting patient care in an electronic charting system.
Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory.
