Meeting Street is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant in Early Intervention working 40 hours weekly.

Duties :

  • Provides general administrative, secretarial, and clerical support.
  • Interacts with pediatrician groups, DCF, hospitals, families and a variety of State agencies, including Department of Public Health Department of Education and Department of Transportation and insurance companies on a regular basis.
  • Processes all referrals, schedules the intake appointment and initial assessment within program guidelines. Maintains the assessment calendar notifying the EI team of upcoming appointments and changes.
  • Maintains the EI database in compliance with DPH Early Intervention Operational Standards.
  • Reviews referral information, forms, and other billing information received to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Confirms client / student benefits have been verified prior to entering bills and monitors ongoing eligibility verification.
  • Establishes good rapport and cooperative working relationships with agency personnel as well as clients, referral sources and third-party payer contacts.
  • Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in third party billing / collections required.
  • Prior experience in a health care environment.
  • Knowledge of electronic claims processing.
  • Fully bilingual (read, write, speak, translate) in both English and Spanish languages preferred.
